|About San Gines|
San Ginés Talavera, is a workshop dedicated to the study and creation of decorative and useful pieces of high quality.
San Ginés was born in Talavera de la Reina in 1999 by the hand of Monica Garcia del Pino Beneitez, great-granddaughter of Juan Ruiz de Luna Rojas (1908-1961), creator of the Ruiz de Luna firm, one of the most recognized factories of artistic ceramics around the World. At the present, there is a Ruiz de Luna Ceramics Museum in Talavera de la Reina, Toledo - Spain.
Monica has received her technical and artistic education in the School of Arts in Talavera de la Reina, she graduated with honors in Ceramic materials and Restoration.
We work handcraft in San Ginés, with very well-selected row materials, processes, and decorations. Our personality is shaped in every one of the pieces we make, keeping the traditional flavour of ceramics taking care of the necessities of today.
In 2010 San Ginés carried out the largest ceramic tile mural in the world, which is currently exhibited on the outside of the Oran Convention Center, Algeria.
We are constantly working on excellence. We are an active partner of the Research Program “Feasibility of Production of Ceramics from Talavera for Domestic Use” conducted by the University of Castille-La Mancha. This research program is part of the Regional Program of Innovative Actions (PRAI) of Castille-La Mancha. Our products carry out the valid nominative for ceramic objects of domestic use in reference of Pb (lead) and Cd (cadmium). Our goal is to provide high quality and healthy products for every one of our customers.
