A stunning tiled interior created by artists from the San Ginés ceramics workshop in Talavera de la Reina, Spain, is the backdrop for a new Miami restaurant from award-winning chef Jose Andrés
The tone may have been irreverent, but it was composed of hundreds of delicately painted blue and white tiles. Designed by the artist Roberto Ramírez, the tile mural was created by Cerámica Artística San Ginés, a ceramics studio in Talavera de la Reina.
In 2010 the company was hired to create what was to be the largest hand-painted ceramic mural in the world [...] Amazingly, the entire project from start to finish took a little more than two months.
Seeing the process step by step in the San Gines Talavera workshop was just breathtaking. Everything was done by hand, taking inspiration from architects, nature, and tattoo artists.
